This portfolio piece showcases a total backyard transformation into a functional, low-maintenance, four-season landscape. The design focused on creating distinct zones, including a manicured lawn area and a vibrant native plant garden. We engineered a multi-zone automated irrigation system to ensure efficient water usage tailored to specific plant needs. A key feature was the construction of a custom stone retaining wall to level a sloped area and define the main entertaining patio space. The planting scheme incorporated year-round interest with evergreen shrubs and perennials chosen for their resilience and varying bloom times. Our team installed a calming water feature—a small, recirculating waterfall—complete with subtle LED lighting for evening ambiance. We laid down premium mulch and specialized soil to improve plant health and suppress weed growth. The final product achieved the client’s goal of a stunning, sustainable, and highly enjoyable outdoor living space that requires minimal upkeep.
